Do I need a tourist visa to travel to Afghanistan?
Yes. Anyone who wishes to enter Afghanistan needs a tourist card.
What do I need to apply for Afghani Tourist Visa?
You will need to provide:

  • Original Passport;
  • 2 Passport sized photographs;
  • Filled in Application form;
  • Invitation letter;
  • Prepaid self addressed envelope.

What are the rights granted by the Afghani Tourist Visa?
You have the right to visit Afghanistan for the purposes stated on the invitation letter. You are not allowed to seek employment.

No. It is a paper visa.
How long is the visa valid for?
Your Afghani Visa will be valid for 30 days (starting from date you enter the country). Once in Afghanistan it can be extended up to another 30 days.
How much time do I have to activate the visa once I have it?
You must activate the visa in 30 days from the date it is issued.
