The Business Skills Category in Australia aims to encourage people with a successful record of business or investment activity to settle in Australia and develop new or existing business opportunities in Australia. The Australian Business Visa Program is available for successful business owners, investors and senior executives.

The majority of business skills category entrants will enter initially on a provisional (temporary) visa for 4 years, and after satisfactory evidence of a specified level of business or investment activity, may apply for permanent residence.

To be eligible for an Australia Business Owner Visa you will need to provide evidence of:

• An overall successful business career;
• Recent ownership interest or net assets in a qualifying business;
• That the provision of a professional, technical or trade service has not taken more than 50% of your time;
• Sufficient funds to transfer to Australia to conduct or establish a business in Australia.
