Australia's Business Skills Category aims to attract people with a record of business or investment activity who are committed to using their business and/ or investment skills in Australia. Business owners, senior managers, senior executives and investors are eligible to apply.
Generally, the business skills category enters on a 4 year provisional visa and after satisfactory evidence of a specified level of business or investment activity, they may apply for permanent residence. State/ Territory sponsorship is available for each visa category.

For this category you will need to evidence the following
- An overall successful business career
- Evidence of recent ownership interest or net assets in a qualifying business
- The provision of a professional, technical or trade service has not taken more than 50% of your time
- Sufficient funds to transfer to Australia for the conduct or establishment of a business in Australia
