Am I eligible for an Australia Investor Visa?
To be eligible for a State Sponsored Australian Investor Visa you must meet the following basic requirements:
- Age: You must be less than 55 years old (except where the regional authority considers that the proposed business will be of exceptional economic benefit to the region).
- Business Success: You must have had an overall successful business career.
- Work experience: Evidence of 3 years experience or direct involvement in managing one or more a qualifying businesses or eligible investments;
- For 1 of the recent 5 years before applying, you need to evidence 10% ownership interest in the total value of the business that you managed or direct involvement in managing funds the total value of which was at least AU$750,000;
- Significant assets: Your (and your spouse's) combined total assets had a net value of at least AU$1,125,000 2 years before the application was made
- At the time of the decision you have made a designated investment of AU$750,000;
- Additional assets: You have sufficient assets (additional to those above) to settle in Australia.
- Business role: You have not been engaged in a business where the provision of professional, technical, or trade services took up more than half your time.
- Acceptable business record: You (or your spouse) have never been involved in unacceptable business activities.
- Committed to business in Australia: You must have a commitment to maintain an ownership interest in a business in Australia and have direct and continuous involvement in management of that business.
- Need to live in Australia: You demonstrate there is a need to live in Australia on a temporary basis for business reasons.
- Health: You must meet health requirements to enter Australia.
- Character: You must be of good character to enter Australia.
