How long does it take for the visa to be processed?

Once VISA FIRST receives your application, your visa will take 2 working days to process. Please note that we advise you to apply at least 2 weeks before your departure date, as in a small number of cases, the New Zealand Immigration Authorities may request further verification of personal details before granting a visa, thus delaying the processing time. In such cases, we will notify you of any further requirements as soon as we have details of these.
You are able to enter and exit New Zealand freely during the validity period of your New Zealand Working Holiday visa. Please remember however, that your permit is valid for a certain period of time: 6 months (for citizens of Malaysia and Singapore); 12 months (for citizens of Argentina, Belgium, Canada, Chile, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Hong Kong SAR, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Thailand and USA; 23 months (for British citizens) - from the initial date of entry for multiple journeys. Your visa validity period is not cumulative.

There is no official deadline for the New Zealand visa. However, there is a limit on the number of visas issued each year per country. Therefore it is advisable to organize your visa as soon as possible.

In such cases a chest x-ray and medical may be required, and your visa application may take approximately 4 weeks to process from the date that your results are forwarded for assessment. Once we receive your application, we will contact you with respect to the above if necessary.

You can pay by enclosing a cheque made payable to VISA FIRST Ltd or by completing the credit card section of the application. Do not send cash.
