What do you need in order to apply?
You will need to provide:
  • Valid passport with at least two clear pages. Your passport must be valid for at least six months after the date of your departure from Russia;
  • Completed and signed Russia Visa application form (one per person);
  • One recent passport-sized photo with your name written on the reverse side;
  • If tour group or cruise passenger: Letter from the tour company or cruise line confirming your itinerary and including a copy of the confirmation from an authorised Russian travel company which shows the reference number and confirmation number for the visa;
  • A standard tourist acceptance confirmation issued by a hosting Russian travel agency or hotel registered with the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a tourist voucher from your travel agency (or hotel). The voucher must contain your name, passport number, dates and ports of arrival and departure in and from Russia, cities to be visited, agency's reference or registration number. Please note that the hotel booking is not sufficient for visa application.



What do I need to apply for a Russia Business Visa?
You will need to provide:
  • Current passport which should be valid for a minimum of six months after visa's expiration date and has at least two blank pages;
  • The completed Russia Visa application form;
  • One recent passport-sized photo glued to the indicated space on the application form;
  • Invitation (Приглашение) issued by the Russian Foreign Ministry or its regional representatives or by an appropriate Russian Federation Migration Service branch. The invitation must contain: official seal and legal address of the host institution, document registration number, date of registration, signature and name of the official authorised to invite foreigners to Russia, travel itinerary, dates of stay, names of persons invited;
  • For a multiple entry visa you are required to submit the original invitation; for single and double-entry visas copies of invitations in particular cases may be accepted, though the Embassy's immigration officer may ask you to present the original invitation;
  • Introductory letter from your company (or from yourself if you are self-employed) giving full details of you, the destinations, terms and purpose of the visit. Self-employed applicants must show copies of their bank statements for the last three months.



What are the rights granted by the Russia Tourist Visa?
The tourist visa is only valid for leisure or recreational purposes. You are not entitled to work in Russia.


Is the Russian Tourist Visa electronic?
No, it is not an electronic visa. It is a paper document.


How long is the visa valid for?
Your visa is valid for 30 days (starting from when you arrive in Russia). It cannot be extended.


How much time do I have to activate the visa once it is granted?
The visa must be activated within 180 days after the issue date.


How long does it take to organise?
The standard processing time for Russian Visas is 7 working days, after receipt of your application.
