Do I need to send my original passport?
Yes. For Syria Tourist Visa applications we will need your original passport.
What do I need to apply for a Syria Tourist Visa?
You will need to provide:

  • Your original passport - valid for six months with at least two blank pages. It should not bear any Israeli stamps;
  • A letter from your employer on headed company paper, confirming that you are currently employed.
  • Two colour passport-sized photographs;
  • Two completed and signed Syria Visa application forms (per person);
  • A registered or recorded self-addressed envelope with exact postage.

What are the rights granted by the Syrian Tourist Visa?
The tourist visa is only valid for tourism or recreational purposes in Syria.
Do I need a tourist visa to travel to Syria?
Nationals of all countries need a visa to visit Syria. The only exceptions are passport holders from the following countries: Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Tunisia, UAE and Yemen.
How long does it take to organise the visa?
The processing time for British residents is 5 working days, after receipt of the application. The processing time for Irish residents is 10 working days, after receipt of the application.
Is the tourist visa single or multiple-entry?
There are both single and multiple-entry tourist visas options for Syria.
How long is the tourist visa valid for?
A single-entry tourist visa will give you three months to travel in Syria. A multiple-entry tourist visa will give you six months to travel in Syria.
What are the application fees?
The fees for Syria Visas are as follows:
