Tourist and
Business Visa

You will need to provide:

• Your original passport valid for 6 months;
• One passport-sized photograph;
• Invitation letter (if travelling on business);
• Application fee;
• Prepaid and self-addressed envelope;

The tourist visa is only valid for leisure or recreational purposes in Uganda. You are not entitled to work.

Nationals of all countries need a visa to travel to Uganda.

There are a few exceptions: Angola, Antigua, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Burundi, Comoros, Cyprus, Eritrea, Fiji, Gambia, Grenada, Italy (Diplomatic Passport holders only), Jamaica, Ireland, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Malta, Mauritius, Madagascar, Rwanda, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Singapore, Solomon Islands, St. Vincent and Grenadines, Swaziland, Tanzania, Tonga, Vanuatu, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

No, it is not an electronic visa. Your Uganda Visa will be a paper document.

Your visa is valid for 3 months from your date of entry into Uganda.

You will have one month to activate your Uganda Visa from the date of issue.

The standard processing time for Uganda Business Visas and Uganda Tourist Visas is 5 working days from the date we receive your application.
