New Zealand is currently experiencing a huge shortage of skilled workers and as such has recently introduced a scheme to allow thousands of skilled workers from overseas to apply for migration.

Over 48,000 skilled workers migrated to New Zealand in 2004 alone and the demand is still rising. You now no longer need a job offer from an employer so there has never been a better time to apply.

If you have a job offer you can have your visa organized in just 2-3 months. If you have not got a job offer the visa will take up to 6-9 months to organize.

The general requirements are that:
- You are less than 56 years of age.
- Be of good character.
- Be fluent in English.
- Your occupation is on the skilled list.
- You are fully qualified in your occupation.
- You have at least 3 years of experience relevant to your qualification.

Migration is based on a skills test so once we can see that you have at least 100 points we will then submit your expression of interest. You will be awarded extra points if you have a partner who also wants to go and has enough points. This will then be assessed and will be put forward for an offer of migration.
