CANADA is maintaining a steady stream of opportunities for Irish emigrants with construction workers still in demand.
The Canadian engineering firm, JV Driver, have confirmed that they will be actively recruiting for 200 positions at Jobs Expo 2012.
The recruitment fair will be held in Dublin’s RDS on May 12 and 13.
JV Driver, who are sponsoring the Engineering Village at Jobs Expo 2012, is a large industrial construction company offering a full range of services for the oil and gas, forestry, petrochemicals, energy and mining industries.
“The company provides clients wit innovative, efficient solutions and their employees with a safe, growth-orientated work environment. JV Driver offers competitive wages, safety bonuses, flexible shift schedules, training opportunities, and transportation options,” the expo organisers said.
Separately, migration specialists Visafirst.com said that 167 positions are on offer from a Canadian construction company. “We are currently accepting CVs with the view of calling people for interviews in our Kilkenny office in two weeks. These positions need to be filled fast,” said Edwina Shanahan, manager of Visafirst.
“The positions available are based in Alberta and we are looking for a range of trades from scaffolders to pipefitters to welders and crane operators.”
