Want to work in Australia? Nowadays, Australia is a popular destination of skilled migrants all over the world with its vast Australia visa opportunities for skilled workers.

The country is in constant need of skilled workers as its industries are booming while the number of retirees is increasing.

As a result, Australia’s healthcare professions are experiencing shortage which could reach 109,000 nurses by 2025, as per a report from Health Workforce Australia. As the number is way too high, the country needs to find a solution quickly.

According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, the number of foreign nurses who have entered the country on a skilled visa during the first eight months of this year has increased tremendously compared to last year. This number, however, is still not enough to cover the current needs for nurses in Australia. In addition, healthcare is having a hard time attracting nursing work force in the outbacks.

“There’s never been a better time for nurses to move to Australia”, as per the report from Health Workforce.

Some healthcare providers are requesting that the Australian government eases the immigration policies so that more nurses can immigrate in the country and stay longer than the current 12 months.

The 457 working visa serves skilled workers who could live and work in the country for up to 4 years. Learn more on the 457 Australian work visa.
