US president Barack Obama has announced during the Caribbean Tourism Summit and Outlook Seminar that United States intends to lower the requirements for foreign tourists, who want to apply for a US visa. Barack Obama held a speech via video conference. He noted that tourism is the number one export of United States, due to the high value of the hospitality products and services that the country offers. It has a crucial importance for the US economy due to the turnover that it generates. He stressed the fact that each year millions of tourists visit places such as Disney World and Grand Canyon. This brings billions of dollars into the US economy. He stated his intention to make USA top tourists destination in the world and said that he has already met with various US businessman in order to discuss better ways to advertise US tourist destinations abroad. Obama thinks that the lowering of the restrictions for foreign visitors will be a major step in improving the attractiveness of United States as a tourist destination
