The UK visa application centre in Seoul will begin to accept applications for the Tier 5 UK Youth Mobility Scheme. Earlier this year Britain and South Korea signed a working holiday agreement which will allow 1000 eligible South Koreans, who are aged between 18 and 30 to travel and work in UK for up to two years. South Korea is the seventh country which signs a Working Holiday agreement with UK. Britain has previously signed six such agreements with Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, Monaco and Taiwan. Young people from South Korea, who want to apply for the UK Youth Mobility Scheme, will have to secure a certificate of sponsorship from the South Korean authorities. Furthermore they must show a proof that they possess maintenance funds of least 1 800 GBP.
