Applicants aged between 17-30 may apply. Applications must be received in the British High Commission before the applicant's 31st birthday.

You must be a citizen of the Commonwealth (Please note, currently Visa First is operating with Australian, New Zealand and Canadian Citizens only).

You must intend to take a holiday in the UK, employment that you undertake must be incidental to your holiday. You must not to engage in business, neither provide services as a professional sportsperson. In any event you must not work for more than 12 months during your stay in the UK.

You must declare any criminal convictions - some will result in ineligibility.

You must not have held a Working Holiday Visa for the United Kingdom before.

If you are married your spouse must be intending to take a working holiday with you and you must both meet all requirements.

You can now no longer apply for the UK working holiday visa if you have any children.

Evidence of sufficient funds for partial support must be provided (e.g. a recent bank statement, no older than 1 month, showing a final balance of min AU$3000/CAD3000 which clearly displays your name and the last 3 months of transaction history. Please also provide evidence to explain any large deposits, e.g. payslips, receipts from sales of property, etc).
