Australain immigration seminars in Emerald, Blackwater and Capella
Australian Department of Immigration and Citizenship will hold seminars on the topic of Skilled Migration in Emerald, Blackwater and Capella. The immigration officers will visit those cities between 26 June and 28 June. They will also be available for personal meetings with interested employers and employees in order to answer their individual questions concerning Australian visa and immigration.
The main theme of the seminars will be the latest changes to the Australian skilled immigration visa program that will be introduced on 1 July. Australian immigration officers will lecture on the new electronic service, which is going to connect various Australian Employers with prospective skilled immigrants. The new online immigration register SkillSelect will incorporate The Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS) and the Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (RSMS).
People who want to apply for a visa to Australia through the new system will have first to submit Expression of Interest (EOI). After that, they will be assigned points according to the skills, experiences and personal attributes, which they have indicated in their EOIs. In the end, all applicants will be ranked in accordance with the points, which they have scored. The applicants with the highest number of points will be invited to apply for an Australian visa.
The Australian government believes that the new rules will make the flow of inbound migration more relevant to the needs of Australian employers. Furthermore, there will be also a fast-tracked pathway from the 457 visas to permanent residence, which will be introduced in July as well. The new rules will enable the government to have greater control and flexibility to adjust to changes in the economy.
