The Irish Working Holiday Visa scheme allows young Australians, Canadians, New Zealanders and Americans between 18 and 30 years old to visit Ireland for an extended holiday supplemented by casual employment for 12 months.

Irish Working Holiday Visa Requirements

  • You are aged between 18 and 30 (inclusive)
  • You are a citizen of Australia, New Zealand, Canada or US*.
  • You have enough funds to support yourself on arrival.
  • You have not held / applied for an Ireland Working Holiday Visa before.
Please note that at the moment Visa First can only process Irish working holiday visas for Australian citizens. Please excuse us for the inconvenience. *Note for US citizens: In order to qualify for the programme, you should be either in post-secondary education or have recently graduated (ie within the last 12 months).

Conditions of Work

The Irish Working Holiday Visa entitles you to take up temporary or casual work in Ireland to help fund your trip. The Irish Visa is valid for 12 months, but Australian visa holders are not permitted to work for any one employer for more than six months.

Damien Dean has helped me to get my independent skilled visa granted (Australian) just within 3 months. He wasn't just very knowledgeable, he was supportive, helpful and very kind. He was always available to explain the different step of the process and to answer my queries. He is a fantastic person, whose professionalism is highly appreciated.

Hi Miranda, I just wanted to let you know that I have arrived in Sydney ok and have got my bank card and everything sorted out. Everything was very stress free and uncomplicated with regards the banking which was great. Thanks for all your help. I have just found my P45 form from the job I just left in the UK so I will scan this to you tomorrow to see if I am entitled to any tax back. Thanks

Good morning Damien, I can gladly confirm that my Visa finally came through for working in NZ. I'm very much grateful that you and your colleagues were able to assist me in finalising it. Thanks again Damien for everything up to this point. I would gladly recommend you and your team to anyone that would need similar assistance in visa enquiries. Cheers
