Make a Plan

If you are planning to migrate with your kids, speak to them about the big decision and arrange schools in advance.

Tax Rates

The tax rate for working holidaymakers is 29%. If you work there without a tax file number you’ll be taxed at 46.5%. Working Holiday Visa – the most popular Australian visa

The Australian Working Holiday visa is a 12-month visa for people between 18-30 years old who want to holiday and work casually.

In order to get that visa, you should not have serious criminal or health conditions, you shouldn’t take any children with you, you shouldn’t have been on a WHM visa before.

Under the Working Holiday visa, you can take any job you want to sustain your stay there but you can’t work with one employer for more than 6 consecutive months. You can leave and re-enter Australia for as many times as you wish within the validity of the visa.

If you want to exceed the 12-month period of your visa duration, you need to apply for a Second Working holiday visa.

In order to qualify you have done at least 3 months of specific work (construction, harvest, agricultural) in regional Australia. You can apply for your Second-year visa from in or outside Australia.

The Working Holiday scheme was launched back in 1975 for three countries only – Canada, the UK and Ireland. Now, there are 16 other countries participating in the scheme and more than 210,300 people who entered Australia on a first Working Holiday scheme in 2012/2013.
